Match the texture
Compare your hair on a normal day, not straight after a silk press. If you sit between two, choose the straighter one. It’s easier to add wave than to relax a curl.

Measure the length
Run a tape from the crown to where you want the ends to land. Wefts are measured stretched, so curly and coily textures look 2 to 4 inches shorter once they settle.

Pick the method
Clip-ins come out every night. Tape-ins stay six to eight weeks and suit a stylist install. Wigs and ponytails leave your own hair alone entirely.
